Dr. Chris Pagnani has a great deal of experience treating individuals suffering with various struggles, including Alcohol Abuse and Dependence, Opiate Abuse and Dependence, Benzodiazepine Abuse and Dependence and Stimulant Abuse and Dependence. He is also a Psychiatrist trained in tapering individuals off of medications that were prescribed by physicians, such as Ambien (Zolpidem), Lunesta (eszopiclone) and Effexor (Venlafaxine). He is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, an Instructor at The Johns Hopkins Hospital for the Department of Psychiatry, The Medical Director of Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates and he treats Substance Use Disorders in his private practice, with offices located in Philadelphia, Manhattan and Delaware – in addition to providing virtual Telehealth psychiatric appointments to appropriate patients struggling with alcohol and other substance use disorders. He is a licensed Psychiatrist in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland, Florida, California and the US Virgin Islands. He has received numerous best psychiatrist and “Top Doc” awards throughout the Philadelphia area, annually since 2020.

Treatment is highly individualized, and a discussion with our treatment team is required before scheduling, as certain struggles (or severities of illness) may benefit from a higher level of care (inpatient detoxification for example). With that said, many individuals are able to be treated as outpatients for alcohol use disorders, opiate use disorders, and other addictions in Philadelphia, Manhattan, Delaware and the areas that we serve.
